Bar Mechanics
At Matador Academy we are striving to remove the stigma of the thug bouncer. However, in the industry of bar security, it is sometimes necessary to go "hands on" when dealing with guests. Though our definition above does seem reminiscent of the thug mentality, it is usually the stupid patrons that require a hands on response. We teach this course which covers escorts, takedowns and teamwork all while not bringing long-term harm to the patron. The techniques that we cover are designed to lessen the liability to security personnel and the venue. In addition all these techniques have been used in real bar situations. This course can be taught at your facility or is taught every couple of months at one of our bars. Please check our course calendar to see when the next time this class is taught.
